4. New GEDCOM import was breaking media links to custom events (fixed).
5. All media list pages now display much faster (will be more noticeable for some).
6. Reordering of media using up- and down-arrows did not work in some cases (fixed).
7. Place names with apostrophes were sometimes show with extraneous slashes (fixed).
8. Custom SQL reports using the “AS” keyword did not work as they previously did (fixed).
9. Page titles containing quotes would break the surrounding HTML (fixed).

11. True dates for split years with less than 4 digits were not being correctly calculated (fixed).
12. The “GIFF” file format was added to the image list in tngfiletypes.php.
13. Names of living individuals were sometimes revealed on the timeline (fixed).
14. The cemetery page for “No Cemetery” was not being displayed properly (fixed).
15. Some home pages were including an extra BODY tag (fixed).
16. A few small formatting issues were corrected in the RSS page.
17. Long notes were sometimes not “wrapping” correctly when exported to a GEDCOM file (fixed).
18. Double quotes in note entries were causing a Javascript error when edited in Admin (fixed).

21. The Admin “Find” window did not allow users assigned to a particular branch to select an individual from another branch for linking purposes (fixed).
The death of my mother-in-law in February - has meant that fair amount of time since has been spent with cousins and family out from England, enjoying the ‘Indian Summer’ at our Beach House on the Coast.

Finally have gotten around to adding in the Lemin side of the family.
Cornish miners that emigrated to Australia to work the various mining booms.
The boom and bust nature of mining led to William Lemin to move his young family to Invercargill, New Zealand during World War One from Tasmania.
So if there are any other Lemin’s out there I would love to hear from you.

Kim we have tried sending you an email to the email that we received from you - however considering you are using one of the worst web email clients that there is (hotmail) we are unsure if the message got through.
This is for you.
Hello Kim
We have no record of your earlier emails. The previous spam filter we used blocked all hotmail accounts as a rule.
Is there something in particular that causes offence? We are happy to change details if they are wrong, or if some living person is being shown when they shouldn’t. Only the deceased should be showing.
A number of Burn descendants have provided this information - all of which is in the public domain - I myself am a Burn descendant.

Material that has been worked on by Ray Spencer on the Oliver and Davison side of the family has been kindly received.
Ray has collected masses of material and written a very interesting account of George Andrew Oliver’s start into New Zealand.
I’m going through his material and using it to improve the information that I have on this site.
The CD he sent includes some fantastic photographs from by gone days that I hope to be able to use as well.

Phones ringing at 5am are either bearers of bad news or a seriously wrongly dialled number. When my cell phone rang it’s tune - Anarchy in UK by the Sex Pistols as it so happens - at 5am on Sunday morning, I awoke from restful slumber with a start. Looking at the number on the phone, leading with 0033 - I guessed that they may have the wrong number, so opened and closed my flip.
This effectively ends the call - I think I even turned the phone off!
And so back to sleep I went.
When I did eventually wake and decide what or who tried ringing me in the morning - I looked up which country 0033 belonged to. Arrh - France it is. Then I got thinking - I had via this website had some persons register from France and who had also been looking at the site. I had sent an email to one of those persons and it had included my cell phone number.
So I rang the number back and managed to start speaking in my New Zild accent with Corinne. It was very exciting - as we are 5th cousins and I know that Corinne was from a missing branch that had headed off to Burma. Thankfully, Corinne’s English is significantly better than my French - so we were able to have a conversation of sorts.
So due to the establishment of a French connection we have enabled a French language option to choose from for the Genealogy section.

Well finally I’ve got around to getting seriously into the Heathcote line.
I am using as my main source the book written by Evelyn D. Heathcote called “An Account of some of The Families bearing the name HEATHCOTE which have descended out of the County of Derby”. It was published in 1899 by Warren and Son of Winchester.

After a long hard winter - busy with family and Rugby - I’m back into the Genealogy work. I have updated TNG to the latest version and done some clean up work on the bridge between Joomla and TNG.
It’s working really well in the new theme that we have put in place for the Joomla framework.
The extra screen real estate has been a real positive.
